The
truck arrives from South Carolina. After looking it over for a
few days and seeing what poor shape it is in, I decide that it's going
to need to be a frame off restoration. So, I get busy and start
taking everything apart that isn't welded together. Before long,
I was down to just the bare frame and suspension. If it only goes
back together as quickly as it came apart.

Doesn't look too bad. A coat of paint and it should be good to
go. Not exactly but I see lots of potential.

The hood, front fenders, and bed are the first to go.

Then the cab.

Hmmm, a little rusty. Fortunately, patch panels are readily
available. Gonna need to learn how to weld.

The final step in the demolition process was removing the engine and
transmission. Thanks to my neighbor's engine hoist, this was an
easy task.
