Firewall

On to the firewall. Over the life of this truck, a number of
holes were added. None of which I will need. Plus, I like
that smooth, uncluttered firewall look.

First step, cut out the old section.

A new piece of sheet metal of trimmed to fit and spot welded into
place. Much better!

Now, on top the driver's side. Here you see a huge hole that was
added for a power brake booster. Whoever did this must not have
owned a drill. Looks like the holes were punched out with a
hammer and chisel. This has to go...

My $20 Harbor freight angle grinder made quick work of this. I
have really gotten my money's worth on that tool.

Here's the after picture with a piece of new sheet metal tacked into
place.
